Hamburg. At a well-known service provider in health care, Campana & Schott has demonstrated in a Proof of Concept (PoC) how business processes can be automated with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010. The objective of the PoC was to examine whether existing applications based on Notes technology can be replaced by the new SharePoint efficiently.

As an example for professional IT support, C&S has implemented an HR reference process for the training of staff jointly with the client: Within three weeks, the existing process was specified in conjunction with the client and subsequently implemented pragmatically in the system environment set up for it. The consultants have instructed the client's core team "on the job" about the functionalities and configurations of the SharePoint interface. The employees responsible for the support of the PoC obtained initial in-depth instruction on operating SharePoint Designer and InfoPath Forms. The client can administer the system on his own now and make initial adjustments. Alongside the system documentation, C&S handed over a process documentation upon the conclusion of the project.

The client's résumé was very positive: The technological expectations placed in SharePoint 2010 have been confirmed. In a very brief time, the health service provider could, with the support of C&S, realise an application case already being used in practice.
