HSE: A new state-of-the-art intranet in no time

Campana & Schott implements a new intranet for HSE in only ten weeks.

Campana & Schott introduced a state-of-the-art intranet for HSE in record time. Central success factors in this "high speed" project were the many years of experience and agile approaches of Campana & Schott as well as the use of standard tools. The implementation was part of a rebranding of the live commerce expert with a focus on a modern look and feel. That is the image that HSE wants to project not just externally but also to its employees. 

Starting situation: Converting the intranet in a few weeks

Following a repositioning, HSE underwent a complete rebranding at the beginning of 2021. This included a new station design, logos and websites. In the course of this process, HSE also wanted to bring its intranet up to date. As the Microsoft platform is used across the entire company, the intranet was supposed to be based on SharePoint Online and the third-party tool Valo. 

 

Solution: A modern, intuitive intranet

To meet the tight deadlines, Campana & Schott used the lightweight intranet add-on Valo for SharePoint Online. In this way, many requirements could already be implemented using standard functions. With the two-week sprints, the project team was able to go live with numerous bilingual news and content pages in just ten weeks. Accordingly, it was able to stick to the ambitious schedule with the help of the active cooperation and rapid decision-making ability of the HSE team.  

Campana & Schott’s consulting services were comprised of the requirements analysis and conceptual design of the new intranet, instructions on how to prepare contents for the HSE project team, support with go-live activities as well as the further implementation of backlog items following feedback from the employees. Campana & Schott also organized training for IT staff for the further development and maintenance of the environment and implemented training measures to ensure that the new intranet is established in the workforce. 

The result: Excitement among employees

In the new intranet, HSE employees can quickly access information that is interesting and important to them. It is used as an important work tool, but also as an individualized platform with interactive features. In this context, international colleagues feel even more part of the team as the intranet is now also available as an English version.  

It also provides company management with a practical way of sharing important information in a centralized manner - information that can be “liked” and commented by all employees. In this way, they receive direct feedback. Another benefit for HSE is that the platform provides professional support for the rebranding, and also delivers fast results and adjustments in two-week sprints.
