About the Future IT Report

The Future IT Report examines strategic, organisational, procedural and cultural changes in companies as a result of digital transformation.

292 executives from large and medium-sized companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland took part in the survey across a wide range of industries.

The study is published by the University of Duisburg-Essen in cooperation with Campana & Schott.

Opinions on the report

COVID-19 and the current sustainability trend are having a noticeable impact on the role of IT in companies. A lot has happened in recent months, but we are only at the beginning of a much longer-term transformation. IT will become a key enabler for sustainable business.

Sustainability goals are already anchored in many companies and IT usually has its own sustainability goals. In the digital transformation, however, there is still often a lack of joint consideration of transformation and sustainability goals, although in my opinion there is great potential here. Awareness in IT still needs to be created here.
